I Pad Safari Settings

You may need to adjust the settings on your iPad Safari browser if you have issues accessing UF websites. Follow the steps below to Clear Cache and Cookies, Delete Browsing History, and toggle the Private Browsing feature on and off in iOS 5-7. UF sites may require private browsing to be turned off.

Note: The Safari window looks different when you are using Private Browsing. Normally, the window is light gray, and when using private browsing the window is dark gray.

  • From the main screen, go to Settings.
  • Scroll down and click Safari on the left column. Click Clear History and Clear Cookies and Data.

Toggle Private Browsing in iOS 7

  • Open Safari as usual.
  • Visit any web page and tap on the URL bar.
  • Select the Private option to enable private browsing mode.
  • Choose one of two options regarding existing web pages:
    • Close All closes all existing web page windows, effectively starting a fresh private browsing session while losing all existing panels and tabs.
