How Do I Change My Directory Info

How do I change my directory info?

As a security feature, your Gator Link ID and password are required to change your information; all user updates are authenticated via Gator Link ID/password. If you do NOT have a Gator Link account, you may create one via the Web at under Gator Link Account Creation, or in person at the UF Computing Help Desk, room HUB 132 - located between Weimer Hall and the CSE building.

To edit your directory information, go to the myUFL Portal. From there click Main Menu. Click My Account and select Update my Directory Profile.

Once inside, Users can change their address, title, or prefered University business e-mail address (which should be your gatorlink e-mail address). In addition, users can make their part or all of their personal information private. Use the orange headings and the blue backround menu at the left to navigate and edit the various data.

You cannot change your name yourself. If you are a student, you must contact the Registrar's office and if you are faculty or staff, you must contact your UF Directory Coordinator or Personnel Office for your department.

At the University of Florida, most of the information in the directory is authoritative, and comes only from the University's official records. Authoritative data is not updateable by users; if you wish to change information in an authoritative field, you must contact the appropriate University office. Even though many LDAP client programs will allow you to update some of the information in your directory entry, the authoritative data fields the University of Florida are protected against user update.
